CIE53 2026 Abu Dhabi, UAE

Hexaly is delighted to be a Gold Sponsor of CIE53, the 53rd International Conference on Computers and Industrial Engineering. The conference will take place on October 20–23, 2026, at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. CIE53 is hosted by the Department of Management Science & Engineering at Khalifa University of Science & Technology.
Under the theme“From Data to Policy: Transforming Systems for Sustainability,” CIE53 2026 brings together researchers, engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians, and industry experts to exchange insights and advances across industrial engineering, supply chain management, operations management, computer science, manufacturing, and management sciences. The conference program features keynote speakers and scientific sessions covering both theoretical developments and practical applications.
Hexaly is pleased to support this year’s edition as a Gold Sponsor and contribute to the conference program with a remote presentation.
Hexaly talk at CIE53 2026
As part of the conference program, Lorenzo Canonne Ph.D., Senior Optimization Scientist at Hexaly, will give a remote presentation introducing Hexaly and its optimization technology.
You’ll also have the opportunity to discover what’s new in Hexaly 15.0, including major performance improvements in routing, scheduling, and packing, as well as advances in nonlinear optimization.
Hexaly: a new kind of Global Optimization Solver

Hexaly is an enriched MIP solver. Its modeling interface is nonlinear and set-oriented. In a sense, Hexaly APIs unify and extend modeling concepts from mixed-linear programming, nonlinear programming, constraint programming, and black-box optimization.
Under the hood, Hexaly combines exact and heuristic optimization methods, such as branch-and-bound, automatic Dantzig-Wolfe reformulation, column and row generation, propagation, local search, direct search, and surrogate modeling techniques. Regarding performance benchmarks, Hexaly distinguishes itself from leading solvers such as Gurobi, IBM Cplex, and Google OR Tools by delivering scalable solutions for Routing, Scheduling, Packing, Clustering, and Location problems.
This talk introduces our set-based modeling formalism and highlights its scalability for large instances, while explaining how the solver automatically leverages state-of-the-art exact and heuristic techniques.
The complete conference program and additional event information are available on the CIE53 website. Please note that the organizers currently indicate that the published agenda is tentative and may still be subject to changes.
