The conference will take place November 23–26, 2026, in Bogotá, Colombia, at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Organized by ASOCIO, the Colombian Association of Operations Research, CLAIO 2026 will be held jointly with the 6th edition of the ASOCIO Conference, bringing together researchers, academics, professionals, and students from across Latin America and beyond to exchange ideas and share the latest advances in Operations Research.

CLAIO is the flagship conference of the Association of Latin-Iberoamerican Operational Research Societies (ALIO). Since 1982, it has been held biennially in different Latin American cities, with the goal of promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences, strengthening connections between researchers and practitioners, and supporting the professional development of students in Operations Research.

The 2026 program will feature plenary talks, tutorials, and research presentations covering a broad range of Operations Research topics and applications. Plenary speakers include internationally recognized researchers such as Margaret L. Brandeau from Stanford University, Héctor Cancela from Universidad de la República and current IFORS President, José Fernando Oliveira from the University of Porto, Dolores Romero Morales from Copenhagen Business School, and Juan G. Villegas from Universidad de Antioquia.

The program will cover a diverse range of topics, including healthcare operational research, bilevel optimization, multi-criteria decision making, humanitarian logistics, generative AI and memetic algorithms, agriculture, port logistics, and decision-making in the circular economy.
